  • Advanced Certified Jivamukti Teacher 800H

I was born and raised in Mexico City and I’m certified in different styles of yoga practice, including Jivamukti Yoga and Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.

To keep and nurture a curious mind and heart is very important to me, to know I’m a student, not just first, but always.

I started teaching in 2009 and my studies have ranged from Anusara Yoga, Kundalini, Kundalini for during a pregnancy, aromatherapy as well as the safe recovery of injuries through yoga practice.

I started teaching while I was in Music Collage, and even though I have never stopped making music, I did end up focusing way more on teaching and this is one of the reasons why.

You see, when I sing, especially if I’m on stage sharing it, I feel the most me, in truest form without judgment; vulnerable but bright and safe, and even through pain and sadness I feel hopeful and strong, so similar to the experience of going into a deep meditative state of santocha, contentment and happiness.

There’s another place that makes me feel like that, and it’s my yoga mat. I found the practice to be a path into myself and it gives me so much. This is one of the many reasons why I love teaching. Like my best friend and wonderful yoga teacher Blanca says, the beautiful thing about the practice is that you don’t have to believe in it for it to work.

The benefits will settle within the muscles and joints, heart, mind and soul if we practice, so practice practice practice.
