BASIC HANDSTAND– ALL LEVELS
Sat & Sun 9:30-12:30
In this two-day workshop Yuval will teach you the basics of handstands. He’ll help you establish a solid base necessary to take your handstand practice to a new level, safely and efficiently.
You’ll learn the technical preparations for handstands and come to understand and experience the alignment points of a straight line handstand. You’ll experiment with some different handstand shapes, learn balance strategies, and play with various wall drills, as well as different ways to enter a handstand.
This workshop is for beginners who can hold a handstand for 20 seconds against the wall.
It is also for intermediate handbalancers who want to revisit the basics and improve alignment and control.
INTERMEDIATE / ADVANCED
Sat & Sun 13:30-16:30
This workshop is intended for people who have already spent a considerable amount of time practicing handstands and can hold a solid free handstand for at least 30 seconds.
Saturday class will focus on refining the different shapes of handstands (straight, tuck and straddle) and adapting them for advanced level transitions and sequences.
Sunday class will focus on mounts and press to handstand, One Arm Handstand exploration.
Both days are intended to give students a better understanding of how to practise complex handstands, and how to create or refine their own practice routine. While the workshops can be taken individually, you’ll get the most out of Yuval’s teachings by taking both.

ABOUT YUVAL:
Handbalancer – Handstand Teacher
For the past 12 years I have been a full-time handstand teacher. My 20-year career as an international and collegiate gymnast led me to Las Vegas where I performed for 8 years as an acrobat in the spectacle, ‘Le Reve’. During this time I began to explore handstands through self practice and with the guidance of other artists and teachers. As I developed an understanding of this art, I honed my skills and became totally focused and passionate about handbalancing . Sharing my knowledge and skills with other practitioners became a significant part of my life.
As an experienced handbalancer, I now share the skills I have learned over more than 2 decades in handstand workshops which I conduct on a regular basis all over the world. I have followed the teaching of the late legendary handstand artist, Claude Victoria, and continue to explore this incredible art form through my practice. I have developed my own style of teaching the art and craft of the handstand. You can find me all over the world holding weekend workshops, intensives and at the professional circus school, Academie Fratellini in Paris, France.
